CLASSIC FESTIVE PRAWN COCKTAIL RECIPE WITH A TWIST!

At Stevies we love taking classic meals and spicing them up! So we’ve taken a classic festive go-to recipe and jazzed it up for you. If you are looking to impress your guests with your culinary skills but you’re time poor look no further than this revamped crowd pleaser!

THat CLASSIC PRAWN COCKTAIL

You’re probably too young to remember (wink) but there was a time when Prawn Cocktails were the in thing. Never went out of fashion if you ask us! Here’s a spicy revamp of the classic just for you!

The perfect ingredients for a revamped Prawn Cocktail!

Ingredients:

  • 1kg cooked Australian Tiger Prawns*

  • 1/2 x head of Iceberg lettuce

  • 5 heaped tbsp Doodles Creek Aioli*

  • 2 Tbsp Tar10 Harvey’s Flamin’ Hot Sauce*

  • Season to taste with a squeeze of lemon juice, sea salt & black pepper

*All available at in-store at Stevies while stock last.

Method:

  1. Peel Tiger Prawns, don’t forget this step!

  2. Combine and mix Aioli and Flamin’ Hot Sauce in bowl.

  3. Prepare lettuce by finely cutting into thin strips - Check out this tutorial

  4. Divide & heap iceberg lettuce into your fanciest cocktail glass

  5. Place 4-5 Prawns over lettuce and season with black pepper

  6. Using a spoon drizzle Prawn Cocktail sauce over prawns. Serve immediately! Add some crisps on the side as an extra treat!

Simple, fresh and spicy!

Enjoy with your favourite bottle of Champagne!
